Infertility in Men and Women: Causes and Cures

Infertility is a condition where a heterosexual couple is unable to conceive after one year of regular unprotected intercourse. Contrary to popular belief, infertility is not just a woman’s problem and it affects both men and women almost equally. And while many people suffering from infertility never approach medical practitioners for help, it is estimated that infertility affects more than 10% women and men of reproductive age. The good part is that almost 90% of infertility cases can be treated using either medication or surgery or both. In many cases, simple lifestyle changes coupled with medications often lead to a treatment of infertility.

Eating During Pregnancy

During pregnancy the health of the mother and the baby is paramount, as the body goes through a myriad of changes that distinguish the term of pregnancy from any other time.
The first port of call is to look at the diet, for it is vital that both mother and baby get enough of the important nutrients and vitamins that a healthy diet provides. It is recommended that the mother get into a regular routine, and following a balanced and well-devised diet is of paramount importance.
